Disjointed – this comedy is the brainchild of Chuck Lorre, the creator of Two and a Half Men and Big Bang Theory. Starring Kathy Bates, this comedy follows the trials and tribulations of Ruth Whitefeather Feldman and her dispensary Alternative Caring. This takes place, of course, in the newly legal cannabis world in California. Highlights are the “Strain of the Day,” bits on YouTube, and the goofy pair known as Dank and Dabby. Though recently canceled, the show has some funny moments that are worth streaming. Check it out here.

Weeds – this one was a bit ahead of the curve, and ran for many seasons back in the aughts. The show follows the chaos of Nancy Botwin, a widow turned weed dealer in California. The show actually takes place before legalization, so many of the episodes and seasons are centered around shady deals and dodging law enforcement. There’s also interaction with the Mexican Cartel and the Russian Mob. Good times, check this out.

Family Business – this one is a french comedy that just came out in 2019. After learning France is about to legalize pot, a down-on-his-luck entrepreneur and his family race to turn their butcher shop into a weed shop. Created by Igor Gotesman, the show is a mix between How to Sell Drugs Online and The Middle. Interested? Check it out.
