Whether we have something to celebrate this week (or not), we all want something that’s going to make us feel a bit happier in these times. Something to take the edge off of the stress. Something to help us celebrate. A release. And so on… You get the picture. For all of those reasons, you’ll probably find this info timely, whether you need it now or just want to save it for another time. Here’s the top euphoric Illinois cannabis strains to get now:
So which ones produce that euphoric effect?
It just depends. Some euphoric strains are Sativa dominant, known for enhancing cerebral effects, or Indica dominant, known to have calming, relaxing sensations. In addition, there’s the THC levels to consider, and as a result, how much of a punch a strain is going to pack and how quickly. You’ll need to consider all of these factors into your choices, try a few of them to see how they work for you personally, and go from there.
1. Sour Diesel
Not a strain for beginners, as the THC levels often reach 20%. This is an invigorating Sativa dominant one named for its diesel like smell. It’s fast-acting, and delivers energizing, dreamy cerebral effects. You’ll feel active and motivated, and optimistic. With an oaky, pine aroma and taste, you’ll feel the effects almost immediately.
2. White Sour
This strain has a buttery, berry taste, and is a cross between The White and Sour Diesel. It’s a Sativa dominant hybrid, and produces happy, calming, euphoric effects. You’ll get a good mix of earthy, citrusy, and spice aromas and flavors, enhancing an overall pleasant experience.
3. Chem Dawg #4
If you prefer something Indica dominant, check this one out. It has a pleasant lemon-citrus flavor and lemon pine scent. With very relaxing and euphoric sensations, this strain is good for treating pain, nausea, stress, and insomnia. The strong potency can help with rest and relaxation, but watch out for couch lock.
Skywalker OG is another Sativa dominant marijuana hybrid, and very potent, with THC levels up to 21%. You’ll get uplifting effects, stress relief, and an energized mind. This is a good strain for evening and night time use, as it promotes deep relaxation. That said, even though it’s Sativa dominant, watch out for couch lock because of the high THC.
5. Orange Kush
Orange Kush is an Indica dominant hybrid. If you partake in this one, you’ll find that your body is eased into relaxation, and your mood is lifted. The strain has sweet and tangy citrus flavor, which makes it easy to partake. Because of its effects and pleasant scent, this is also a good choice for treating nausea, pain, depression, and anxiety. Tread lightly, however, as its THC content is a whopping 24%.
