We’re hoping to clear up some of the cannabis confusion out there right now. It’s tough to keep track of who’s open, hours, what they’re offering. Then there’s medical only versus recreational. It’s hard to stay on top of it all, and it seems to change by the day. We even had the 4/20 celebration online. So, who’s offering Chicago recreational cannabis curbside pickup and pre-order?
Order weed in advance and just drive up and get it?
Yep, that’s where we’re at now. So just know that before you plan on going to the dispensary. Here’s the details:
MedMen’s Chicago area location is on Lake Street in the suburb of Oak Park. Their adult use hours are 10:00 am – 5:00 pm daily, and not only do they offer curbside pickup, but that all they’re offering. It’s curbside pickup only. Their FAQ section contains a lot of great info about the safety precautions they’re taking. Everything they do is in line with the Illinois Department of Health. When you get to the store, park and let them know that you’re there. If you can’t find parking, let them know, and they will call you back when someone is standing outside with your bag and ready to check you out when you pull up.
Sunnyside is currently offering online ordering as well as curbside pickup for its adult use customers. You can find their Illinois locations, two of which are in Chicago, here. The adult use hours are 12 noon – 9:00 pm daily, though it’s always good to confirm that in advance. If you have trouble parking, give the dispensary a call so that you can make arrangements for your curbside cannabis pickup.
Now Verilife is offering curbside pickup to medical customers only, but they do have adult use options. They’re following the CDC’s recommendations of social distancing, and making sure there’s adequate distance between people waiting in line and inside the dispensary. So, if you’re an adult use customer, you get in by reservation only at these locations. Street parking can be somewhat limited, so plan in advance before making the trip.
4. Mission Dispensaries
Mission is another one that’s offering curbside pickup for medical customers. However, if you’re adult use, you can still shop here. At its location on the South Side, you can make a reservation for a one-hour appointment. They are limiting customers to 8 at one time in the store, and you’ll need to wait for one of the 8 to leave before you can enter. Of course, their line will follow all social distancing guidelines, so be prepared.
5. Windy City Cannabis
At Windy City’s Chicago area locations, adult use customers must order online and select a time slot. You’ll pick up your order during your selected time slot. Availability is limited, so they ask that if you can’t get a slot, to please check back again the next day. If you’re in the south suburbs, this is a good potential option to check out if you can plan ahead.
6. Dispensary 33
Dispensary 33 on Chicago’s North Side is offering a step by step process for adult use customers to follow. Adult use customers are able to shop via pre-order only. You can make a reservation, and shop during your designated time, following the social distancing guidelines mandated by the state. Wear a mask, and stand on the D33 stickers marked in order to stay 6 feet apart. Get more info here.
